Chuck Norris

The facts of Chuck Norris are a bit of an internet fad now a days. If you aren't up on them then you should be...
With that being said... THIS is even better.

Norris used his hand as his feet and he kicked and he punched with his hands and his feet!!!

I once saw an official statement from Norris about the fad. He hoped that the interest in "facts" about him would spur people on to read his biography. It's pretty cool that he can take a joke.

Utarefson

Nosferatu backwards, A pretty creative character name in World of Warcraft. Uta... my main WoW homie has returned! We haven't had the plesure of crossing paths in game quite yet but I'm quite optimistic. Without him I'm alone in a crowd. With him... well I'm still alone in a crowd, but I've got someone to talk to about it.

The Biggest of TVs

I come home from ITT yesterday... and my dad's car is parked backward... something is in the trunk... something BIG.

It's a brand new HDTV. Most likely weighing in at well over 300 pounds.

We moved the old TV to my parents room. It's not as heavy as the new one... but that's not saying much... the thing was still a monster. The task at hand was to put this beastly moniter on top of... you know I'm not sure what the word for it is... probably some sort of dresser... anyway the thing was tall... it took two 14 inch stools and a workbench to get the TV up that high, but it did work.

With all that hoisting out of the way, we were left with the new TV. If the other one was a monster, this one was king kong... Took alot of effort just to get it out of the car. Once it was on the dolly, we began to take it inside. I walk over and open the door for my dad... BAM! The box FLIPS and falls off the dolly. The corner of the box caught my dad's glasses and bent them... but worse yet the metal conecting the two lense left a gash in the bridge of my dad's nose. He washes up and we give it another shot. This time I actaully hold onto the box. We get it inside, set it down... and we send dad to go get a bandaid cause he's still bleeding.

He comes back, we put the TV on the coffee table while we get the wires hooked up. while he takes care of that I'm dismanteling the box... by hand. I get the box into managable peice after a while, and the cords get managed too.

But whats this? We don't get all the channels that we are supposed to... an nothings coming in as HD...

I could go on but we've now got a technitian coming on monday.

Oh and my dad's nose is fine.

The Man I Knew as Voemeth

So this afternoon in WoW, a man who was in the same guild as me from nearly the day I started to play the game decided to quit the guild. And the only thing he left was the vile message on out forums of:
"I have no interest in playing with people who are not only offensive individuals, but also incompetent. I have comment on this a number of time with no responce. As a result, I have left this guild. Have fun. "

If you can't get it from the title, his name was Voemeth. But more importantly than that he was a Voe. What is a Voe? Well the Voe's were the friends of Voeden, a good freind of mine from highschool. The Voe's were people he met in college.

In the days when we were few, we needed no leadership, we were all equals. Voemeth didn't seem to think that though... In a time when we didn't need it he chose to lead us... and he did it poorly. He was the man responsible for that "Crimson Dawn" mess that happened a few months back. He made the decision that led us down that bad road.

Worse yet he was the one who demanded that we switch servers... in a way that totally disregarded the intentions of the rest of the guild. The rude way this was handled was a leading contributer to why my good friend Denis, aka. Utarefson, decided to quit the game. I mean it was his own choice and all... but he definately did not approve of what went down.

All of this to get us into Desk Chair Lamp. A promissed land... and yes DCL is a good place to be. Acomplishing the end-game goals while surounded by people who are likeable, it really doesn't get all that much better...

But today after not being online more than 3 or 4 times in the past month, Voemeth decided that he couldn't take it anymore. I don't know where it came from but aperantly he managed to be on enough to find a way to be morally outraged. But whatever, he's not going to be missed, his attempt to make waves with his exit fell on deaf ears. His lame rant didn't mean a thing to anyone.

The For Real Deal

My 3d animation stuff is going great.... WAIT BACK UP! Have I EVER actaully talked about what I ACTUALLY do?! It's all WoW this and Gamecube that! (Btw the game of the week (ie. what I feel like playing this week) is Veiwtiful Joe.)

OK fine, you want the real deal? Well here it is, I'm doing the Multimedia program down at ITT... so I'm getting to be quite good with 3d Max and Flash, which is good cause those programs ROCK. And the people who I go to class with are hilarious. And several of them are VERY talented. But I don't feel like going into too much depth...dunno why, just don't.

Endings, Beginnings, and Middles

World of Warcraft has begun to bore me to no end. Molten Core has always been boring but it's gotten to the point that that's the only way to advance in the game. But a few people broke off and began playing on one of the new PVPRP servers... I joined them and for a time it was fun... but starting over is really unappealing. These events are leading me to want to quit the game all together, which isn't really that bad of an idea.

So in my down time I've started playing Tales of Symphonia again... this will be my third play through but that doesn't matter too much because it is pretty much the best game of all time. This time around I'm gonna get a different ending... I got the same ending in my first two runs, and so I really want to see the other way things can go. In fact I've already begun to play things differantly... I found that you can go to certain areas earlier than you are supposed to be able to. When you do you end up fighting so very tough battles and I had a particularly hard one against some golden pegasus thing... beating it was particularly satisfying...

So when I'm done with Tales of Symphonia there will probably be another WoW patch so I'll see if that renews my interest.

Sigma Star Saga

Well I just got through playing the GBA game Sigma Star Saga. It provided a bit of a refreshing break from the farming drudgery of World of Warcraft. An RPG with space shooter stages as the random battles... sounds weird but it was pretty fun.

It was tragically short, though... only 6 "chapters" with each chapter containing exploration of a differant planet and a long stage with a boss at the end. So the game only contains 6 real levels mixed in with the random battles. Some of them are really easy and boring while others will have you strugling to kill enough enemies (you can't leave battle untill you kill a certain number of enemies). You are also given a random ship in the random battles and some of them really, really suck. And chapter 5 has a pretty bad bug in it (very avoidable if you know how) that causes endless random battles.

The whole experience left me not knowing what to think... that and the box was hidden behind some random crap game (good games are never hidden)... The game is weird and short... but you know what, everything that is there was increadibly enjoyable. The story was good, the shooting was fun...

All in all... it took me 3 days to beat it... had alot of fun... now back to WoW...
